PROJECT OVERVIEW No Simple Landing is an LP Album by the band The Out. The design of the album cover consisted of a 6-panel album cover, a 6-panel insert for the liner notes, and the face of the cd. This was the band's first full length studio album. METHODOLOGY It was very important to the band that the album artwork be reflective of the imagery presented in the lyrics of the songs. There were several recurring themes such as street lights, old tvs, and radio transmissions, as well as emotional themes such as uncertainty and anxiety. The album artwork was created using watercolor and acrylic paints and edited in Adobe Photoshop, and combined with photo imagery of the band using effects found in Adobe Photoshop. typography
