chapstick p.o.p display BRAND repackaging PACKAGE DESIGN
PROJECT OVERVIEW This P.O.P. display for Chapstick is one of my most viewed and liked pieces on social media. It was designed for a project in GWDA105 Concept Design at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh. We were to choose a small product and design a point of purchase package. Using the color palette of the brand, along with the logo, I developed this concept as a small paperboard container that could hold 9 tubes of the product for easy storage and sale. I also used a large image of the product tube and came up with the tagline ‘Pop the Cap!’ Images and logo were edited in Adobe Photoshop, and the package layout was design in adobe Illustrator. METHODOLOGY The goal for this project was to create a simple and small point of purchase package one might find in a checkout line at a gas station or grocery store. I chose Chapstick as my product, and quickly came up with a simple package solution that holds nine tubes of Chapstick. I created a tear open lid that has a large image of an open tube that protrudes up behind the product as it would sit open on the counter top of shelf. I used only the logo and color palette of the brand and added the lag-line "Pop The Cap" using Brush Script MT to match the logo of Chapstick Brand. typography
